Our Story

Starbound Pages began with a love for stories—the kind you read late into the night, with a cup of coffee growing cold beside you. Stories that linger long after the last page, offering quiet company during slow mornings and heavy days.

This shop was born during a season of unexpected change. After being laid off from my job, life slowed in a way I hadn’t planned for. What first felt uncertain became an invitation—space to finally listen to a dream I had been carrying for years.

I imagined a bookstore built on intention. A place guided by care rather than algorithms. Where reading is unhurried, coffee is always nearby, and stories are treated as something to savor. That vision became Starbound Pages.

Founded by Hispanic creators Kristina & Carlos, Starbound Pages is an online bookstore inspired by cozy nights, thoughtful curation, and the belief that stories connect us—to ourselves, to culture, and to one another. Alongside a wide catalog of beloved reads, we highlight favorites meant to be lived with, underlined, and returned to when you need them most.

This online shop is only the beginning. Each order brings us closer to a future brick-and-mortar bookstore and café in Austin, Texas—a space filled with shelves of fantasy, romance, and horror, the comforting aroma of coffee and tea, and a community of readers who love to linger.

Kirby, our enthusiastic at-home reading companion, is never far from the books and reminds us daily to slow down, stretch, and enjoy the quiet moments
